  • Employ contingency plans and risk responses to manage and control identified risks.
  • Modify project schedule and documentation through a change control process to address performance concerns.

  • Execute the communication plan to share appropriate project information with all stakeholders.
  • Manage team and use logs to track project performance.

Course Description

Students begin to explore Earned Value management to analyze scenarios. Identifying key goals and objects, students will apply concepts to define the value of a project and develop a Responsibility Assignment Matrix to define key activity roles and responsibilities. Effective planning that ensures all key actions are met when closing out a project will be analyzed.

Instructor: Matthew Versdahl

Matt Versdahl is an experienced project manager who has research interests in Transportation Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, and AI. He currently works as Statewide Transportation Asset Manager for the WA Dept. of Transportation. Previously, he managed transportation and mobility at Harborview Medical Center, and as a project manager at PACCAR. He specializes in product development, new business acquisition, change management, process improvement, Six Sigma, and implementation.
