Learn to reach your market, make your business banking ready, and build the support network to grow your business.

What you’ll be able to do — competencies

  • Conduct an assessment of the key factors that drive the success of your business.
  • Acquire knowledge of the M3 Model of Markets, Money, and Management as a framework for analyzing your business.
  • Work in teams with instructors, peers, mentors and advisors to develop strategies to improve your business and create a support network to execute.
  • Obtain key information on how to qualify for government contracts and how to get access to funding with our partner, Business Impact Northwest.

Course description

Curriculum will cover the knowledge base for entrepreneurship which includes business model design, customer journey/segmenting/funnel, product life cycle, channels, social media, pricing, how to qualify for government contracts, business processes, value chain, process mapping, loan readiness, sources of capital, finance, and negotiations.

Expert advisors will discuss customer journey, funnel/conversions, website best practices, funding options, banking readiness, and negotiations. Businesses will be assigned mentors who will give feedback on action items that from the class.

The format will be synchronous with two weekly two to four hour virtual classroom session using Zoom.  Course content will be delivered using a combination of lectures, homework assignments, individual, and interactive group exercises.  Businesses will prepare a business model pitch as a final presentation.

Twenty qualified businesses will receive $1000 full scholarships funded by Startup425, an alliance of five Eastside cities and the Port of Seattle.
