Updates Ahead

Bellevue College Continuing Education is evolving to better serve our community. As the landscape of professional noncredit education has shifted in recent years, we will be closing the Tombolo Institute at the end of the fall quarter and will no longer offer professional education and technology noncredit courses and certificates. Moving forward, Bellevue College Continuing Education will focus on the areas where we see the greatest and growing demand: personal enrichment, world languages, and our vibrant TELOS Lifelong Learners 55+ program.

This renewed focus allows us to expand offerings that inspire curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Winter registration is now open! We invite you to explore more than 60 engaging courses across Personal Enrichment, TELOS Lifelong Learners (55+), and World Languages. Whether you’re looking to discover a new hobby, sharpen your skills, or connect with others who share your interests, we hope you’ll find something that excites you in 2026.

Most Winter classes begin in January—register today at bellevuecollege.edu/ce to secure your spot.

For questions or assistance, our Bellevue College Continuing Education customer service team is here to help.

And if you are looking for academic professional and technical certificates, Bellevue College continues to offer many high-demand professional and technical certificates for academic credit through the College’s admissions process. Learn more about what certificates are offered at:

The Latest on COVID-19 and Online Courses

We continue to offer all of our courses online. Please check with your instructor for updates.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to adjust to federal and state guidance on COVID-19 preventative measures. Based on recent announcements , we’re enacting a number of changes to our daily operations. They are as follows:

Classes will be delivered remotely. Like many other colleges, we have made the decision to extend remote learning (e.g., online, synchronous, etc.), so that faculty and students can plan accordingly. Instructor-led and self-paced courses are available.

There will be no on-campus class meetings allowed. The campus will continue reassessing the situation and we will determine if some on-campus activity with social distancing will be allowed. While we have closed all in-person access to North Campus (including our Test Center), the College is NOT closed as of the date of this message.

Instructors: Be sure to check our Resources page to review options for online instruction software.

Students: Please check with your instructor on the status of your course. If your course has been moved to an online format, your instructor will reach out to you with information on the software you’ll use for the course. For issues with Canvas, please email contedlms@bellevuecollege.edu.

Announcement: Microsoft Teams training for both students and instructors.

  • BC employees can register for Teams training at the ITS website: ITS Training for Employees. Instructors who plan to use Teams should sign up for the webinar before the class start date.
  • Students can register for Teams training through this ITS Knowledge Base article: Microsoft Teams Training for Students. If you’re aware of courses that will use Teams either Programs or the instructor can notify students that this training is available, ideally before the course start date.

Please remember to check your Bellevue College email as that’s where you’ll receive the most up-to-date information in real time.
