- Utilize the Scrum framework, its core principles, and the Agile mindset.
- Differentiate the three Scrum roles: Product Owner, Development Team, and Scrum Master.
- Explain the five Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and the Sprint itself.
- Recognize the skills to coach team members, remove impediments, and foster a culture of self-organization.
- Use the i Scrum values (Courage, Focus, Commitment, Respect, and Openness) and infer how they underpin the empirical process of Scrum.
- Identify common roadblocks encountered during Scrum implementation and explore effective strategies to overcome them.
Course description
The Certified Scrum Master course is designed for individuals who want to become valuable assets to any Agile team and effective Scrum Masters. Whether students are new to Scrum or looking to deepen their understanding, this course provides practical knowledge and hands-on skills to guide teams toward successful Scrum implementation. In addition, this course prepares students for success on the path to Scrum Master certification.

Benjamin Yuan is a dedicated Project Management Professional, and certified Agile/Scrum Practitioner and Trainer. He is experienced in cultivating strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders for managing projects through proper resource planning, implementing strategic initiatives, and catering IT governance & technical matters. He holds Master’s degree in Business Administration and has project management experience in healthcare, government, finance, hospitality, aviation, and non-profit.
